I've got an EMF-390 meter and a 2018 Leaf electric car, low end electronics, no cell connectivity, no maps, etc. I'd heard some people talking about huge radiation danger from electric cars, even heard it's like sitting in a microwave, but that's ridiculous. Hyperbole really damages credibility. Has anybody seen anything interesting with electric cars?
I've read that the frequencies used by the motors in cars is up to 20KHz, can I expect the EMF-390 to read EMF in this frequency range?
I tried the meter in my car and didn't see very much with the meter on my lap.
EF was either 0 or .1 V/m RF was below 1uW/cm2, usually like 300nW/cm2 EMF was normally about 1 mG but occasionally spiked up to 90 or 50 for an instant once in awhile.
This was while diving on the highway or car on sitting at home, didn't seem to matter a whole lot.
Sitting in my living room right now I have EF 0 V/m RF 350nW/cm2 EMF 1mG

Will the EMF-390 meter read EMF radiation in the 10kHz to 20kHz region? Am I getting real readings? Or is the freq range limited? I didn't see anything in the literature. |

the emf can go up to 150kHz. so it should be able to detect 10kHz to 20kHz. |

Really? The EMF-390 won't detect any EMF over 150kHz? I thought they'd detect cellphones in the GHz range. That'd be good to put in the literature what the freq range is. |

That is for the EMF readings. The 10MHz - 10Ghz is for RF readings. |

I looked in the PDF manual and don't see any freq spec for EMF, so it goes up to 150kHz? Starting from what freq? How about line freq (60Hz)?
And it looks like the RF has 5 distinct bands? So it won't detect <50MHz, between 108MHz-240MHz, and 1040MHz-2400MHz and above 2500MHz?
It'd be nice to have that in the manual. |

We will check it.
EMF is from .5Hz
Only the RF Spectrum analyzer has 5 distinct bands. The general measurements for RF is 10MHz to 10GHz, just wont show the frequency. |
