I recently got a GMC-600+ with firmware rev 2.18 and I noticed a “feature” when doing Food sample collection – after I complete data gathering for the first sample (Step 4), the unit beeps to confirm completion and then it turns off its speaker and it will not restore the audio until I reboot the counter or go in the User Options -> Speaker and re-enable it. Otherwise it remains silent. Even if I change modes, the audio will still be off. Restart fixes it. It seems that the firmware doesn't restore the status of the speaker after it does the confirmation beep for completion of step 4.
It is not really a "show-stopper" but rather an annoyance.
Can anyone confirm this?

Hi kotarak, I have confirmed that it does turn off the beep after food alarm. We will fix this in the next firmware update. Thank you for letting us know.
