I live in the country with no close neighbors, so I have my home wifi set up as an open network, with no password required. This seems to cause issues with my GMC-500+ Geiger counter, as it refuses to connect to the wifi unless I enter something into the password section. The instructions manual suggests that it is possible to connect it to an open network, so is there some way around this probem that I'm not aware of?

There is an empty password check for the WiFi. As ullix said, you can put a dummy password even 1 character.

looks like another bug on the WiFi section.

But does is hurt anything when you just make a dummy entry to the password field?
