Posted - 04/02/2020 : 05:31:14 I have a Radium Dial which measures 1.2mSv/h with a basic Terra-P and a laboratory standard Thermo Fisher 900.
I attempted to get a measurement with my 500+ but it goes totally nuts, the display flashes and flips orientation constantly, it gets as high as 199uSv/h then drops to 30uSv/h instantly. I even tried the different fast estimate modes and the same thing happens.
Not particularly happy, seeing as this meter is supposedly capable of measuring levels above 42000uSv/h!
Can anyone shed any light on what my issue is? |

Posted - 07/06/2020 : 05:32:56 I’m a newbie and surprised that a lot of problems occurred have to do with the second tube. I’m interested in buying the 500 Plus but I worry as a greenhorn how to disable the second tube. Is this a common problem? I just want a good device which is close to the real measurement and not a faulty device I have to adjust before it’s fully working. I’m between the 320 and 500 Plus and the only thing scaring me to buy the 500 Plus is all those problems with the second tube. |

Posted - 04/05/2020 : 05:45:06 to be sure, you can try to disconnect the USB to know if the lithium battery is always good. a good battery is necessary because in certain cases the peak power supplied only by the USB can be limited. |

Posted - 04/04/2020 : 22:27:49 it looks like a power supply issue. is it powered by the usb socket? you could try changing the 3v7 battery if you have another one. |

I will grab the serial number and send it tomorrow. |

Posted - 04/02/2020 : 13:04:09 Hi Pilot25dmc,
Looks like there is problem with the tube 2. It can be because the voltage of tube 2 is a little bit high or tube 2 is damaged. Can you try to decrease the Tube 2 Voltage in the settings by about 2 or 3 percent and check again?
You can also send me an email with your serial number so I can check your firmware.
