Posted - 08/03/2017 : 12:36:50 I have purchased a GMC320+V5 recently and wanted to sell my old GMC-300. I have now noticed that the display starts to fade away on the upper right hand side where the battery symbol is placed. The LCD is a Wayeah LCM (2012.05.16) KM12232K. Where can a get a replacement for a good price?
Best regards, leescratchwood

Posted - 08/07/2017 : 09:28:48 Thanks for your help to all of you. Attached is a picture of the display. The PCB says KM12232K. As ZLM points out they are rare, indeed. I am quite sure, that these here are identical: https://www.yoycart.com/Product/543418795196/ (have a look at their specification/description)
I have ordered 2 pcs from them. I will comment after receiving the display if my problem really gets solved.

Posted - 08/03/2017 : 16:45:46 Hi,
I really don't know the construction of that model, but sometimes there is an elastomeric (flexible) connector between the circuit board and the display. If the pads get a little dirty or corroded on the board or display this could cause symptoms on the display. Remove the connector and clean the pads with a pencil eraser. This has happened many times on my digital test equipment and was solved.
Hope this helps, --Terry |
