Have recently had a problem arise with the charging display coming on after shutting the unit down and not hooked to any external power source. Any ideas for this as it slowly drains my battery down while not in use? I have used the factory reset and have even pulled the battery out for about 5 minutes and it still reverts to this when not in use. It however does charge when hooked up to a power cable. I have even had it turn off as it should, a blank screen for maybe 10 seconds and then all on it's own, lights up and displays it is charging when in fact it can't. This unit has the original battery and the unit indicates it takes a 100% charge every time. Would appreciate any suggestions or help, thanks.

Had sent my 320 plus in to GQE for checkout and or repair of the charging issue while not plugged in and have received it back working fine so far.

The US Mail was a little slow because high winds up in the Spokane WA area damaged the mail sort facility a second time and was worse off but it arrived. Thanks to GQE for the great support service.

Daniel, I have recently shipped my 320 Plus to have it checked and or repaired and was informed when getting a repair authorization number, it is still under warranty. I'm sure GQ Electronics will treat you right, I have always had good experiences dealing with them.

Many thanks to all !

The problem is probably a bad or perhaps broken soldering on the board, perhaps on USB connector, too !
The hardware of the board seems to be correct, except this mistake !

Thanks to ZLM and Distelzombie for their suggestions!

Anyway, like the vendor of this device purposes to cancell the sale and give my money back, i will agree !

Sure that i will buy another GMC-320 with the hope that all will be OK !

Best regards,

Daniel

A loose solder joint?

I have just the same problem like you with my GMC-320 Plus (i have bought it on the beginning of the month). The first days, all was correct, but now, when i shut down the device, it seams to be correct with the message "POWER OFF " on the screen, but immediately after, the message "Completed 100%" appears without connection of a power cable and this message stays on the screen...

Is it possible to correct this mistake ?

Many thanks for answer !

I appreciate the suggested possibilities. It is being charged up now after letting it run it's course of running down. I have not opened the case but did use some compressed air on the USB connection. Will see what comes of it, thanks.

It seems the charging component fail.

If you do not see the dust in the unit near battery, then you may need to send the unit back for the service.

You should open the casing and look at the usb connector. Maybe there is dust or something shorting out the contacts.
