Posted - 03/24/2014 : 02:45:18 Hello,
I'm Simon from France. I bought a GMC-320+. The device is in transit to my house. You know that France produce a lot of electricity by Nuclear Plants and government lied about Tchernobyl cloud in 1986.
I read a lot this forum and discovered that firmware upgrade is free (Yes!) but can only be made by support in Seattle (Oups!). It can be a bit boring if unit shipped contains a bug. I have to say that soviet units (Radex, Soeks) aren't upgradable at all.
I'm asking while the firmware can not be upgradable by user with the provided USB connection ? (ROM ?)
I'm asking too if rom, memory or CPU can be altered by radioactivity ?
Thanks for the explanations. -Simon- |

Posted - 03/24/2014 : 14:29:47 The current version of GMC-320 only can be upgraded in GQ lab. It is free but may take a few days for transportation. The current version firmware is stable and no bug found so far.
So far the GQ has not received any report on radiation changes CPU and memory content yet. |
