Posted - 07/16/2013 : 11:41:05 I purchased GMC-300 on may 2013, got it on the beginning of April. The device has been travelling on four continents, and worked just fine.
Now it died. Not suddenly, but little by little. First it switched itself off, regardless of the fact, that it has its own powersupply via USB. I noticed this few times, switched the device on, and it stayed on for a while. This started to happen more frequently, until the device must be switched on to see what it gives out.
In the end it stopped to switch on at all.
Now it is completely dead.
Any idea what is wrong? The gizmo lasted like four months. |

Yes. The GM-320 uses 3.7V Li-Ion battery and no such problem. |

Posted - 07/17/2013 : 14:49:30 From the picture I can see the battery is dead. Change to another NiMh rechargeable battery. It must be in the 9V with 8.4V norminal voltage. |

Using screwdriver opened the device, and found from inside swollen 9V chinese szhkhaoba.com NiMh -battery. The plastics on battery is showing marks of heat:

It looks like a good idea removing the battery if you are going to supply power continuously from external source. |
