Just received unit, out to the box back lighting doesn't come on, Tried changing power saving mode to on and off. Nothing gets the back light to work. cant read the unlit lcd. What am I do do? Return it?

Try:

1. turn the power saving mode to OFF
2. set Backlight Timer to ON or
3. set Backlight Level to 10
4. teste it with USB cable connected to a computer. This will get enough power for backlight.

If you can not see backlight at all then contact support@gqelectronicsllc.com for warranty.
