Posted - 12/13/2012 : 17:17:42 We are comparing the PM1703M Radiation Detector by Polimaster, Inc. to the GMC 300 Digital Geiger Counter. We've seen the PM1703M in actual testing of granite counter tops. It is extremely precise in detecting radon gases emitted by the material. With the GMC 300 we've only seen it done in general area testing.
Situation: we want to test each granite slab before installation.
Question: Would the GMC 300 be appropriate for our purposes? |

Posted - 12/14/2012 : 10:38:27 Thank you. We saw that video and understand that it can detect the radiation. We were just wondering if it picked up on hot spots within stone or if just picks up general radiation within the proximity. This is the video we are comparing with the GMC 300:
